Happy AUSTRALIA DAY

The Aussie kids ..

I worked this afternoon, so we did nothing special today, apart from both kids went with their dad for a swim in grannies pool.
Then we had the good old bbq for tea...


and to finish of the day ..a hair cut by dad.

Sebs cupcakes part 2 ...

Silly blogger wouldnt co-operate before so missed this photo.

Also found this box in the supermarket and thought the kids would love it...

So we topped cupcakes in it too ...

Sebastians chocolate cupcakes ....

So it was Sebs turn at cooking this morning, so he decided choc cupcakes.

I got the recipe from the Womens Weekly Classic cakes.

It is the best choc cupcake recipe I have used.

Will be using this one over and over again.

Also when grocery shopping the other day I found these .....

My absolute favourite biscuit ..always have oreos in the cupboard.

So thought we could top the cake with a mini oreo.

I made chocolate butter cream icing and Sebastian wanted to spread the icing on himself, so no piping bag mess ..yipee.

Madelines Blueberry Muffins ...

While at work today my mum was up here looking after Mad & Seb,

Madeline decided last night she wanted to cook with the help of Nana.

So she made Blueberry muffins... very nice indeed ..

and amazed that I came home and there were some left LOL

Also mum got them outside with her today and they cleaned my kitchen/family room windows, inside and out ! ..yipee, what a mum..and kids.

I also made mention next week when she comes back my oven needs cleaning LOL

A day at Lorne with friends ...

We spent the day at Lorne today with friends who are

camping down there.

The kids had a ball ..and very tired now,

think early to bed tonight..me too LOL

The Weekend with a friend ...

One of my most favourite friends came for the weekend, no children, just us 2.

I took her to the loveliest quilting shop and spent a fortune..and I dont even quilt LOL

We spent the weekend stitching..the most we have ever stitched together, ate heaps, laughed heaps, played Just dance on the Wii..and she was whinging that I was trying to kill her..

well maybe to get her stash LOL

and had the most fantastic time with her.

Brought the pattern for the Li'l Blokes that I loved from the bag.

Melly and Me ...fido which the kids loved and they want to do

and this bag I want to make up to use as a stitching bag, but going to do it in

soft rose pinks, creams.

But when will this happen ????

Madelines friend has come for a sleepover and the girls are doing scrapbooking.

The friend has her scrapbooking stuff in this bag.

Her grandmother made it.

Its all hand piced and quilted.

I just love it ..

do you think she would notice or mind if I swap with her and put her scrapbooking stuff in a Coles recycle bag - and a purple one at that ???

Torquay Beach

I brought the kids body boards last week, so thought I better

take them to the beach to use them !

There wasnt any surf !!!

But they had fun anyway.

Of course there had to be a sand castle ..

And what happens when you try and take of a photo of Sebastian,

and Madeline is close by LOL

Ripstick riders .....

Both got ripsticks - a cross between a skateboard/snowboard/surfboard

from their granny for christmas

They love it ...except Madeline needs the support of the wheelie bin to get her started. LOL

Stitching for 2010

My LK doube flip its dream/believe.

I have the perfect spot for this, so started it on New Years Day.

I hope to finish all 3 this year...not impossible for some, but will see how I go.
If I finish these 3, then another WIP will be pulled out and finished.

the 1st day of 2010 ...

And the thunderstorms continued into the night, we had our own personal firework display..courtesy of the neighbours ! ...but at 1.30am think they were a bit late LOL

Have loved my stiching and my cooking.

2010 will continue with both and also lots of reading, which I didnt do much this year, apart from the obsessive reading of the Twilight series ..
